Google Pixel 10a Malaysia Launch; Price Starts From RM2,299

This budget Pixel phone will be coming to our shores on 5 March 2026.

Google has finally launched the Pixel 10a, though you would be forgiven for thinking you had seen this phone before. It is essentially a carbon copy of the Pixel 9a, sticking with what the company clearly thinks is a winning formula rather than reinventing the wheel.

Under the bonnet, we are looking at the same Tensor G4 chipset paired with 8GB of RAM, and your storage options remain a choice between 128GB and 256GB.

On the software side of things, it ships with Android 16 right out of the box. The real selling point here is the longevity, as Google is promising seven years of software updates, which should keep the device feeling well-supported into the next decade.

Build quality remains solid with an IP68 rating for those accidental dips, and the screen gets a slight durability boost with Gorilla Glass 7i. The back is still plastic, made from 81%recycled materials, while the 6.3-inch Actua display gets a little brighter, peaking at 3,000 nits compared to the previous 2,700 on the 9a.

If you were hoping for a massive camera upgrade, you might be a bit disappointed. The setup is identical to last year, featuring a 48MP main sensor and a 13MP ultrawide. Battery life is also familiar territory with a 5,100mAh cell that Google claims will last 30 hours of regular use.

However, there is some good news for those who hate waiting around for their phone to juice up. Wired charging has been bumped up to 30W from 23W, and wireless charging is now a slightly nippier 10W.

Pricing and Availability

You can pick one up in four different colours: Fog, Obsidian, Berry, or Lavender. In Malaysia, the Pixel 10a is set to arrive on 5 March 2026.
