Nintendo Launches New Music App Featuring Iconic Video Game Soundtracks

This mobile app is only for Nintendo Switch Online subscribers.

Since its inception, Nintendo has launched numerous games, many of which feature delightful soundtracks that fans love to listen to.

So, instead of putting the soundtracks on Spotify or YouTube for everyone to enjoy, the company has decided to release “Nintendo Music,” a mobile app exclusive to Switch Online members.

This app enables the members to stream and download a diverse selection of music from the company’s extensive franchise catalogue such as Splatoon, Zelda, Metroid, Mario, Pokémon, Donkey Kong, Star Fox, Fire Emblem, among others, with more music to be added over time.

Currently accessible on iOS and Android, the app also offers options to hide tracks that might contain spoilers, and to repeat or extend tracks for prolonged listening.

Users can create their own playlists, explore existing ones based on specific characters, and choose from featured playlists that match their mood.

For now, the app is exclusively available in North America, the UK, Europe, and Japan.
