While Nintendo has not yet unveiled the “Switch 2”, the company’s president, Shuntaro Furukawa, has announced significant news at the recent corporate management policy briefing.
Nintendo Switch games will be compatible with the upcoming next-gen Switch. Additionally, Switch Online will be accessible on the next-generation console.
Furukawa has indicated that further updates on the Switch successor, including more details on its compatibility with the current system, will be shared at a “later date”.
Furthermore, Nintendo has reaffirmed this week that the development plans for the Switch successor remain unchanged, with an announcement expected by the end of the fiscal year (March 2025).
