Elon Musk has announced on X (formerly Twitter) his intention to launch an AI game studio to “make games great again.”
He stated that “too many game studios are owned by massive corporations,” and xAI will be establishing its own game studio. xAI is a startup started by Musk focusing on artificial intelligence.
Musk is probably making a dig at Microsoft and Sony, which own numerous game studios that develop titles for the Xbox Series S/X, PC, and PlayStation 5.
We don’t know what games that Musk wants to create with his studio. However, it has become increasingly common for game studios to employ AI in order to curb soaring development costs and enhance creativity.
Despite managing multiple companies like Tesla, SpaceX, and X, Musk is a passionate gamer, ranking among the top 20 Diablo 4 players.
