Huawei Is Launching Mate X6 And FreeBuds Pro 4 In Malaysia On 18 December

The Mate X6 foldable phone is already available for pre-order.

Recently, Huawei announced the Mate X6 and FreeBuds Pro 4 in China, and now it’s finally coming to Malaysia next week.

The Mate X6 features a 7.93″ LTPO OLED main display (2,440 x 2,240) up to 1,800 nits, and a 6.45″ LTPO OLED cover display (FHD+) up to 2,500 nits with second-generation Kunlun Glass protection.

In its unfolded form, the foldable phone measures a mere 4.6mm and 9.9mm when folded. It also boasts an IPX8 water resistance rating.

While the company has not specified the chip within the Mate X6, it’s likely the Kirin 9020. This processor includes a 12-core CPU with two prime cores at up to 2.5GHz, six middle cores at up to 2.1GHz, and four efficiency cores at up to 1.6GHz. The GPU is the Mali-G78 clocked at 840 MHz.

On the rear, there’s a 50MP main camera with an RYYB sensor and an f/1.4-f/4.0 variable aperture, a 48MP periscope telephoto lens with 4X optical zoom and a 5cm super macro mode, and a 40MP ultrawide camera with autofocus.

Additionally, Huawei has incorporated an Ultra Chroma Camera that captures 1.5 million spectral channels, enabling photos with richer and more lifelike colours.

EMUI 15 is the operating system, and the device is powered by a silicon-carbon battery with a capacity of 5,110mAh, supporting 66W wired, 50W wireless, and 7.5W reverse wireless charging.

Available in Nebula Gray, Nebula Red, and Black, the Mate X6 can be pre-ordered through Huawei Malaysia’s website.

Huawei FreeBuds Pro 4

Huawei has launched a new audio brand called Huawei Sound, starting with the FreeBuds Pro 4, which feature the “Huawei Sound” logo in gold.

When used with a newer Huawei device, the FreeBuds Pro 4 can deliver 2.3 Mbps lossless audio transmission at 48 kHz/24-bit quality.

The FreeBuds Pro 4 are compatible with L2HC 4.0, HWA Lossless, and Hi-Res Wireless certifications. Huawei collaborated with the Central Conservatory of Music to fine-tune the sound on the dual 11mm acoustic drivers in the FreeBuds Pro 4.

Huawei claims the FreeBuds Pro 4 offer up to 100dB of noise reduction, significantly surpassing most ANC-equipped TWS earbuds. The three-stage memory ear tips are crucial for achieving a proper seal in the ear canal. Huawei also touts leading-edge call noise cancellation and spatial audio capabilities.

The FreeBuds Pro 4 feature Huawei’s proprietary Kirin A2 chip, operate on Bluetooth 5.2, and allow for pairing with multiple devices. Huawei has introduced head tracking, enabling users to answer calls by nodding or decline them by shaking their heads.

The earbuds have an IP54 rating and according to Huawei, they provide up to 7 hours of playback on a single charge and a total of 33 hours when using the charging case.

The FreeBuds Pro 4 comes in Black, White, and Green colours. At the time of writing, the earbuds are not available for pre-order.
