So, OnePlus recently dropped the news that their upcoming phones won’t have the classic Alert Slider anymore. Instead, they’re switching to a customisable button, kinda like the iPhone’s Action button.
Now, they’re teasing their next phone—the OnePlus 13T—which will be the first to feature this new button.
Li Jie, President of OnePlus China, posted an image of the 13T on Weibo and mentioned that the phone has been “upgraded with a new shortcut key.”
According to a Google translation, the button will still handle mute/vibration/ring modes but will also have a custom function to make switching between different actions easier.
Li Jie also hinted that there’s “an interesting feature” built into this button, with more details coming later.
Besides that, he also teased the display of the 13T and compared it to an iPhone 16.

As for specs, rumours say the 13T will pack a flat 6.3-inch display, a beefy 6,000mAh+ battery (larger than OnePlus 13), and weigh in at 185g.
OnePlus is expected to officially reveal the 13T later this month, but we’re still waiting on an exact date.
