Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 & Z Fold 7: Thinner, Bigger, Better?

The Z Fold 7 is reportedly going to be way thinner than the Z Fold 6, and the Z Flip 7 is getting a bigger outer display.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Z Fold 7 are set to drop in early July, and as we get closer to launch month, the leaks and rumours are heating up.

According to Techmaniacs via GSMArena, the Z Fold 7 is shaping up to be way thinner than last year’s model—apparently just 8.2mm when folded. To put that in perspective, the current slimmest foldable, the Oppo Find N5, is 8.9mm folded.

Camera-wise, the Z Fold 7 will pack a 200MP main shooter, but the telephoto (3x 10MP) and ultra-wide (12MP) are staying the same.

The inner screen is rumored to bump up to 8-inch (from 7.6-inch on the Z Fold 6), and the cover display will grow slightly from 6.3 to 6.5-inch.

As for the Z Flip 7, it’s getting a bigger cover display—jumping from a folder-shaped 3.4-inch to a nearly rectangular 4-inch panel. It’s also expected to be thinner than its predecessor.

Battery capacity is getting a small boost too, going from 4,000mAh to 4,300mAh (though charging speeds aren’t improving).

The cameras won’t see any upgrades—instead, Samsung seems to be sticking with the same 50MP+12MP setup from the Z Flip 6. Also, both phones will run on the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy.
