Realme Teases A Thin 10,000mAh Phone – Is This the Future Of Battery Tech?

This prototype is only 8.5mm thick and weighs 215g.

Realme just teased a prototype phone with a crazy 10,000mAh battery.

Chace Xu, Realme’s Global Marketing President, dropped a 2-minute unboxing video on X showing off the device and explaining how they made it.

Despite having such a humongous battery, the phone is only 8.5mm thick and weighs 215g! Realme pulled this off by using a battery with 10% silicon anode, hitting an energy density of 887Wh/L.

They also shrunk the motherboard down to just 23.4mm tall—the smallest ever on an Android phone—to free up more space for the battery.

Of course, this is just a prototype for now, but with phones like the Honor Power already packing 8,000mAh, a 10,000mAh phone might not be too far off.
