Huawei just dropped its new computer operating system, HarmonyOS PC, in China.
The system is built on three main things: HarmonyOS Base, HarmonyOS Ecosystem, and HarmonyOS Experience, according to Huaweicentral.

The Base includes the HarmonyOS kernel, the Ark Engine for smooth graphics and UI, the StarShield security setup, and other backend tech.
The Ecosystem comes with over 150 exclusive apps and supports more than 2000 universal apps. It’s got WPS Office built-in and plenty of other tools for everyday computing.

As for Experience, it works with over 1000 external devices—800 standard ones like keyboards, mice, and monitors, plus 200+ secondary devices like printers and scanners. There’s also deep AI integration. Huawei says HarmonyOS PC launches on 19 May.
