Huawei just dropped their newest wearables—the Watch 5 and Watch Fit 4 series—at an event in Berlin, Germany.
Huawei Watch 5

The Watch 5 comes in two sizes: a 46mm with a 1.43-inch screen and a 42mm with a 1.32-inch display. The bigger one has three fancy titanium case options and one stainless steel, while the smaller one sticks to stainless steel. Huawei says they used some high-tech color-matching tricks to get those vibrant case shades, plus there’s sapphire glass on top to keep things looking premium.
One of the coolest features is the X-Tap sensor on the side. It’s got a pressure sensor, an ECG electrode, and a PPG sensor—all packed into one. Huawei claims it gives clearer readings than the usual wrist sensors because it picks up better signals from your fingertip.

There’s also a quick health check feature called Health Glance. Just hold your finger on the X-Tap sensor for 60 seconds, and it’ll measure nine different health stats, like heart rate, oxygen levels, stress, and even arterial stiffness.
The Watch 5 also has some new gesture controls—double-sliding or double-tapping your thumb and index finger lets you navigate apps. But it only works in three situations: when an alarm goes off, when you get a call, or when you’re playing music through the built-in player.
It supports eSIM (if your carrier allows it), Wi-Fi 6, and has two battery modes: Standard (keeps eSIM, X-Tap, and third-party apps running) and Ultra-Long Battery Life (cuts those but keeps health tracking). The 42mm charges in 60 minutes, while the 46mm takes 90 minutes.
Besides that, it’s got over 100 sports modes and works with EMUI, Android, and iOS.
Huawei Watch Fit 4 and Fit 4 Pro

Now, the Watch Fit 4 series is interesting because, for the first time, there’s a Pro version. The regular Fit 4 has a 1.82″ screen and a 400mAh battery, plus new stuff like an air pressure sensor and Huawei’s Sunflower positioning. It’s super light (27g) and thin (9.5mm), with a screen that hits 2,000 nits brightness.
The Fit 4 Pro steps it up with a titanium case, sapphire glass, and an ECG sensor. It’s slightly heavier (30.4g) but even thinner (9.3mm), and the screen goes up to 3,000 nits. It also adds Diving Mode, Golf Mode, and better trail-running features like offline maps and wrong-turn alerts. Plus, it has menstrual cycle tracking and sleep breathing awareness—stuff the regular Fit 4 misses because of weaker sensors.

Both Fit 4 models support dual-band satellite positioning (L1 and L5) for better accuracy. The Pro has color maps for navigating around tall buildings, while the regular one keeps it simpler. Battery life? About 7 days with normal use or 10 days if you turn some features off. The Pro charges faster (60 mins) than the regular one (75 mins).
