Apple Introduces A Unified Games App For iPhone, iPad & Mac

Now you get Game Center and game recommendations from the App Store in one convenient place.

At WWDC 2025, Apple unveiled a new Games app designed to be a one-stop hub for gamers. This app combines Game Center, App Store recommendations, your downloaded games library, and your friends list all in one convenient spot.

The Home tab will give users a quick look at game updates, special events, and personalised recommendations. If you’re an Apple Arcade subscriber, there’s a dedicated tab just for those games, while the Library tab keeps all your downloaded games organised.

A standout feature is the Play Together tab, making it easy to see what your friends are playing.

There’s also a new Challenges system that adds a competitive twist to single-player games by turning them into point-based competitions with friends.

For developers, the Games app offers new ways to keep players in the loop about updates and events. Game pages will now highlight the latest activity, like updates, live events, and what friends are up to, so players always know what’s happening in the games they care about.

The Games app will launch this fall on iPhone, iPad, and Mac alongside the latest updates to Apple’s operating systems: iOS 26, iPadOS 26, and macOS 26.
