Nothing Phone (3) Is Powered By A High Performance Qualcomm Snapdragon Chipset

But it’s not the chipset you were hoping for.

Nothing has finally revealed one of the key specs of the Phone (3)—the chipset it’ll be running on.

The brand confirmed that its upcoming flagship will use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 4. That means it won’t have the top-tier Snapdragon 8 Elite or MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400/9400+, which are currently the most powerful chips in the Android world.

The 8s Gen 4 sits somewhere between the 8 Gen 2 and 8 Gen 3 in terms of performance. It’s built on TSMC’s 4nm N4P process and features a 1x Cortex-X4 prime core clocked at up to 3.2GHz, along with three Cortex-A720 cores at 3.0GHz, two more at 2.8GHz, and another two running at 2.0GHz.

As for design changes, the Phone (3) is expected to ditch the Glyph LED lights on the back in favour of a dot-matrix display.

And since even the more affordable Phone (3a) and (3a) Pro come with a triple-camera setup, the flagship model will likely keep that arrangement but with upgraded sensors.
