Acer has officially stepped into the gaming handheld arena with the launch of their first handheld gaming PC, Nitro Blaze 7, aiming to compete with established devices like the Lenovo Legion Go, ASUS ROG Ally X, and Steam Deck.
Revealed at IFA 2024, the Nitro Blaze 7 is a lightweight device, tipping the scales at just 670 grams. It’s powered by the robust AMD Ryzen 7 8840HS processor with AMD Radeon 780M graphics, coupled with 16GB of LPDDR5X-7500MT/s RAM and offering up to 2TB of NVMe storage.
The handheld features a 7-inch Full HD IPS touchscreen that boasts a 144Hz refresh rate, 100% sRGB coverage, and supports AMD FreeSync Premium, ensuring a smooth, tear-free visual experience.
To elevate the gaming experience, the Nitro Blaze 7 includes Acer Game Space, a platform that allows gamers to access their games from multiple sources. Additionally, Acer is offering three months of free PC Game Pass, granting access to hundreds of high-quality PC games.
Gamers will appreciate the inclusion of LT/RT Hall effect triggers, which provide superior control feedback. Connectivity options are WiFi 6E, two USB-C 4.0 port supporting 65W fast charging, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a MicroSD card slot for expandable storage.
While Acer has not disclosed specific details about the battery life and upgradability, it’s expected to be on par with its competitors.

The Acer Nitro Blaze 7 is priced starting at EUR849 (~RM4,095) and is anticipated to be available in various markets later this year.
