Acer has unveiled three brand new “UltraSpeed” gaming monitors at IFA 2024, boasting insanely high refresh rates for ultra smooth gaming experience.
The new Nitro series monitors: the Nitro XV240 F6, Nitro XV270U F5, and the Nitro XV270 F5 are designed competitive gamers.
Nitro XV240 F6
The Acer Nitro XV240 F6 gaming monitor boasts a 24-inch TN panel with a 1920x1080p resolution. It supports up to 240Hz refresh rate over HDMI and an impressive 600Hz with DisplayPort 1.4.
The Nitro XV240 F6 has a 1ms GtG response time, which can be lowered to 0.1ms to enable quicker frame transitions.
The monitor is also outfitted with AMD FreeSync Premium to minimise screen tearing, enhancing the gaming experience. The TN panel has a viewing angles of 170°(H)/160°(V), and boasts a wide colour gamut with 95% DCI-P3 coverage.
The Nitro XV240 F6 offers a maximum brightness of 400 nits and is compatible with DisplayHDR 400. The ergonomic stand allows for tilt, height, swivel, and pivot adjustments. Additionally, it includes dual 2W speakers.
Nitro XV270 F5
The Nitro XV270 F5 offers a larger 27-inch display with an IPS panel for superior viewing angles. It features a 1920x1080p resolution and supports overclocking up to 520Hz via HDMI and DP connections.
The monitor includes various connectivity options, such as 2x HDMI 2.1, 1x DP 1.2, 2x USB 3.2, 1x 3.5mm jack, USB-B, and an SPK connector.
Similar to the XV240 F6 in many specifications, the XV270 F5 distinguishes itself with a different colour space coverage of 99% sRGB and a larger screen size.
Nitro XV270U F5
The XV270U F5 is a 27-inch IPS gaming monitor that offers a larger 2560×1440 resolution to display more detail. Typically, the monitor operates with a 1ms GtG response time but can reduce it to as low as 0.5ms, similar to the XV270 F5.
This model includes AMD FreeSync Premium, covers 99% of the sRGB colour space, and boasts superior colour reproduction with up to 1.07 billion colours via 8Bit+FRC.
However, it lacks connectivity options found on the XV270 and has a reduced brightness level from 400 nits to 250 nits.
Pricing and Availability
The Acer Nitro XV240 F6, XV270 F5, and XV270U F5 gaming monitors are set to be available for purchase in the North American region in Q1 2025.
The pricing will start at USD599.99 (~RM2,600) for the XV240 F6 and XV270 F5, and USD799.99 (~RM3,467) for the XV270U F5.
These models will also be available in Europe in Q1 2025, following their earlier launch in China in Q4 2024.
