MediaTek Dimensity 9500: Huge GPU Efficiency Gains & Ray Tracing Boost

The chip could allegedly run ray tracing games above 100fps.

As we near the end of 2025, the next wave of flagship mobile chipsets is starting to roll out. Today, we’re taking a look at MediaTek’s upcoming powerhouse, the Dimensity 9500.

A rumour suggests its GPU will deliver a massive leap in energy efficiency, reportedly over 40% better than the previous generation.

The GPU might be branded as a Mali-G1-Ultra MC12, running at 1.0GHz. According to the leaker, this could push ray-traced gaming performance past 100fps – a pretty impressive jump, if that’s true.

On the CPU side, we’re expecting an all-big-core setup: one Cortex-X930 Travis core at 3.23GHz, three Alto cores at 3.03GHz, and four Gelas cores at 2.23GHz.

MediaTek is likely to unveil the Dimensity 9500 before Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite 2, which means we could see it by late September at the latest. Exciting times for mobile hardware!
