Google Pixel 10 Series Officially Launched: Everything You Need To Know

The Pixel 10 series starts from RM3,999.

So, Google just dropped the full details on the Pixel 10 series, and the lineup is pretty stacked. We’ve got the standard Pixel 10, the Pixel 10 Pro, a larger Pro XL, and finally, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold making its official debut.

Under the hood of every model is the new Tensor G5 chip, and this one’s a pretty big deal. It’s the first Google chip manufactured by TSMC instead of Samsung, which supposedly brings some major efficiency gains. Performance gets a nice bump, too, with a 34% faster CPU and AI tasks that run 60% quicker than the previous gen. It’s also the first to run the newest Gemini Nano model and comes paired with the upgraded Titan M2 security chip for extra peace of mind.

Starting with the base model, the Pixel 10 looks almost identical to its predecessor at a glance. The biggest visual change is on the back, where the familiar pill-shaped camera bump now holds three sensors instead of two. You’re getting a 48MP main camera, a 13MP ultrawide, and a new 10.8MP telephoto with 5x optical zoom. Around front, there’s a 10.5MP selfie cam with autofocus. It’s all powered by that Tensor G5, paired with 12GB of RAM and your choice of 128GB or 256GB of UFS 4.0 storage.

The phone sports a 6.3-inch Actua display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a Full HD+ resolution. It’s an LTPS panel, so the refresh rate adapts between 60Hz and 120Hz. The big news is the brightness, which is claimed to hit a blinding 2,000 nits. It’s still protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2, and it also gets an improved ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner. And of course, it keeps that IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.

Google is sticking with its seven-year promise for OS and security updates, and the phone comes running Android 16 right out of the box. Keeping the lights on is a 4,970 mAh battery, which is a bit larger than last year’s. It now supports 29W wired charging and 15W Qi2 wireless charging, which means it’ll work with all the new Qi2-compatible Pixelsnap accessories they also announced. You can grab it in four colors: Indigo, Frost, Lemongrass, and Obsidian.

Pixel 10 Pro and Pro XL

Now, for the pros. The Pixel 10 Pro has a 6.3-inch LTPO OLED screen, while the Pro XL goes bigger with a 6.8-inch display. The key advantage here is the LTPO tech, which allows for a super smooth adaptive refresh rate from 1Hz all the way to 120Hz to save battery. These screens are seriously bright, capable of a massive 3,300 nits locally. They also get a higher-resolution 42MP selfie camera and the same ultrasonic fingerprint reader under the display.

For photography, the Pro series is reusing a proven formula. You get the same 50MP main and 48MP ultrawide sensors from last year, but they’re now joined by a new 48MP telephoto lens that offers 5x optical zoom and up to 100x hybrid zoom. You can also record video at up to 8K resolution at 30fps.

Battery sizes differ between the two: the Pro has a 4,870 mAh cell with 30W charging, and the Pro XL gets a larger 5,200 mAh battery with faster 45W wired speeds. Both support Qi2 wireless charging, with the Pro getting 15W and the Pro XL getting a nifty 25W, all thanks to that Pixelsnap magnetic system. The Pro models come in Moonstone, Obsidian, Porcelain, and Jade.

Then there’s the headliner, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold. It features an 8-inch LTPO OLED folding screen that gets seriously bright (3,000 nits), paired with a 6.4-inch cover screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. It’s powered by the same Tensor G5 and Titan M2 combo but is maxed out with 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage.

Its camera system includes a 48MP main, a 10.5MP ultrawide, and a 10.8MP telephoto with 5x zoom. There’s also a 10MP selfie camera on each screen. It has a 5,015 mAh battery with 30W wired charging (getting you to 50% in 30 minutes) and 15W Qi2 wireless. It’s IP68 rated, measures 10.8mm when folded, and weighs 258g. You can get it in Moonstone or Jade, and it uses a side-mounted fingerprint sensor in the power button.
