Pos Malaysia has just spiced up its delivery fleet by bringing Zelos on board, marking the debut of Malaysia’s first fully autonomous and zero-emission logistics vehicle. It is a bit of a milestone for the company as they push further into digital tech and green energy.
This move is the result of a new partnership with Autonomous Logistic Solutions (ALS), and the goal is to get Level 4 autonomous driving working for those heavy-duty, point-to-point delivery routes. Level 4 autonomous means the vehicle can drive itself without human input in specific areas or routes.

The tech behind the scenes is pretty interesting too. The project is tapping into 5G connectivity provided by Digital Nasional Berhad to keep everything running smoothly. They are kicking things off with a six-month proof of concept right in the middle of Pos Malaysia’s daily operations. To make sure everything stays above board, they are working hand-in-hand with the Ministry of Transport, JPJ, and Futurise to navigate the local safety and regulatory rules.
Judging by the model shown here and cross-referenced with Zelos Malaysia’s website, it seems to be the Zelos Z10 model, which has a 1,500 kg load, a 210 km range with a top speed of 55 km/h and 10 m³ of cargo space.

Pos Malaysia is investing pretty heavily on sustainable transport. They have already built up a massive fleet of over 1,500 electric vehicles, and about a quarter of those are now completely electric.
