We are barely a few weeks away from the official Galaxy S26 Ultra reveal, but the rumour mill has basically finished the job for us already.
Thanks to some fresh leaks over at Android Headlines, we have a pretty solid idea of what Samsung is cooking up, so you might not even need to wait for the launch event to get the full picture.
On the front, we are looking at a massive 6.9-inch Dynamic AMOLED display with all the usual premium specs like QHD+ resolution and that buttery smooth 120Hz refresh rate. Interestingly, it is tipped to include a new Privacy Display feature, which is designed to keep nosy commuters from glancing at your screen from an angle. It also sticks with the familiar 12MP selfie camera and, of course, the S Pen remains part of the package.
Under the bonnet, it is no shocker that Samsung is sticking with Qualcomm. The S26 Ultra should be packing the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip. You will be able to grab it with 256GB of storage as standard, but those who hoard photos and apps can spec it all the way up to 1TB.

Size-wise, the S26 Ultra is practically a twin of the S25 Ultra. It is expected to measure 163.6 x 78.1 x 7.9mm and weigh in at 214 grams, making it just a hair slimmer and a tiny bit lighter than its predecessor.
The back of the phone is getting a bit of a facelift with a redesigned camera island. The star of the show is a 200MP main sensor with a wider f/1.4 aperture. That is joined by a 50MP ultrawide lens, a 50MP periscope telephoto with 5x optical zoom, and a 10MP telephoto for 3x shots.
However, if you were crossing your fingers for a beefier battery, you might be a tad let down. It looks like we are sticking with the 5,000mAh cell again this year. While it is a tried and tested capacity, it is not the upgrade some power users were hoping for.
This is a bit of a letdown considering there are many new Chinese smartphones out there with more than 7,000mAh batteries. Still, with the new chip efficiency, it should comfortably get most people through the day.
If you are still feeling a bit sceptical about those initial renders, prominent leaker Evan Blass has just shared what looks like an official marketing image of the Ultra.

It matches up perfectly with the earlier Android Headlines leaks, so it is safe to say these designs are pretty much spot on.
