Realme Malaysia has just launched the latest 16 Pro series, introducing two new phones to the local market: the standard 16 Pro and the more premium 16 Pro+.
Realme 16 Pro+
Leading the charge is the 16 Pro+, which features a 6.8-inch curved AMOLED display, offering a crisp 1,280 x 2,800 resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate for a very smooth scrolling experience. To keep it safe from accidental drops, the screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i.
Under the bonnet, Realme has opted for a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor, paired with 12GB of speedy LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of internal storage.
The phone carries a triple camera array on the back, anchored by a 200MP main sensor with optical image stabilisation. You also get a 50MP telephoto lens capable of 3.5x optical zoom and an 8MP ultrawide camera for those broader shots. If you are into selfies, there is a 50MP front-facing camera. One of the biggest talking points is the massive 7,000mAh battery, which should easily last through a heavy day of use, especially with 80W wired charging to top it up quickly.
Realme 16 Pro
For those looking for something a bit more affordable, the standard 16 Pro offers a slightly smaller 6.78-inch flat AMOLED screen with 1,272×2,772 resolution. While the display is flat, the backplate remains rounded for a comfortable grip. It keeps the 144Hz refresh rate but switches the internals to a Mediatek Dimensity 7300 Max chip. This version comes with 12GB of RAM and gives you a choice between 256GB or 512GB of storage.
In terms of photography, the standard 16 Pro shares the same high-resolution main camera and 50MP selfie snapper as the Plus model, though it does lose out on the dedicated 50MP telephoto lens. On the plus side, it still retains that huge 7,000mAh battery.
Pricing and Availability
If you are looking to pick one up, the realme 16 Pro+ is priced at RM2,299 and is available in Master Gold or Master Grey.
The standard 16 Pro starts at RM1,599 for the 256GB version, while the 512GB model is priced at RM1,899, with colour options including Orchid Purple and Pebble Grey.
Both devices are available nationwide starting today and they are available at Realme Brand Stores, authorised dealers, and their official stores on Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok Shop.
Realme is also sweetening the deal for early birds; anyone who buys a phone before 10 May 2026 will receive a bundle of free gifts worth RM897. This includes a Smart Band, an RM100 rebate, and a one-year extended warranty along with screen crack protection.
