Huawei just dropped two new devices in Malaysia, the MatePad Mini and the Watch GT Runner 2.
Huawei MatePad Mini

The MatePad Mini is an 8.8-inch tablet that is packing a Flexible PaperMatte OLED panel. The flexible part is just about the internal tech substrate, so the screen won’t actually bend in your hands. It does manage a super smooth 120Hz refresh rate and hits a massive 1,800 nits of brightness, which is great for outdoor use.
It is a bit of a stunner visually, wrapped in a magnesium alloy frame that is only 5.2mm thin. Weighing in at just 260g, making it a very tempting choice if you value portability.

The mini tablet is packing a Kirin 9010B chip paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, all running on HarmonyOS 4.3. The 6,400mAh battery should see you through the day, and if you are in a rush, the 66W SuperCharge gets you back in the game quickly. They have even included a smart power mode to help the battery stay healthy for at least three years.
For the creatives, it supports the M-Pencil Pro with over 10,000 levels of pressure sensitivity and tactile feedback, turning it into a proper little digital sketchbook. Even the cameras are decent for a tablet, featuring a 50MP main sensor and a 32MP selfie snapper.
Huawei Watch GT Runner 2
Then there is the Watch GT Runner 2, which is clearly aimed at anyone who takes their morning jog or distance running seriously. It sports a crisp 1.32-inch AMOLED screen and a tough titanium alloy body protected by second-gen Kunlun glass. It comes in three colours, Dusk Blue, Dawn Orange, and Midnight Black, and weighs only 34.5 grams, so it won’t weigh you down while you are hitting the pavement.

The real magic is inside the glass, where Huawei has tucked in a 3D floating antenna and a clever AI-XDR algorithm to ensure your satellite tracking is spot on, even when you are running through built-up areas.

There is a dedicated Marathon Mode co-developed with the legendary marathoner Eliud Kipchoge, featuring training plans and performance predictors. Beyond running, it is a bit of a health powerhouse with ECG, sleep management, and even emotional wellbeing tracking.
Pricing and Availability
In Malaysia, the MatePad Mini is priced at RM2,399, but early birds can snag a RM200 discount. It comes bundled with a load of extras like the M-Pencil Pro, a folio cover, PC-level WPS 3.0, and some solid warranty perks including a one-time free battery replacement.
The Watch GT Runner 2 retails for RM1,499 and includes a pair of complimentary FreeArc open-ear earphones to sweeten the deal.
You can get the tablet and the watch on Huawei’s official website, Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok Shop.
