Acer Malaysia just dropped four new Predator products today, and as per usual, they have kept gamers right at the centre of their focus. The latest line-up includes the Predator Helios Neo 16 laptop, the Orion 5000 desktop, and a couple of new monitors, including the XB273U X2 and a rather interesting portable option called the Nitro PG241Y P1.
Predator Helios Neo 16
The Predator Helios Neo 16 is positioned as a mid-to-high-end gaming laptop within the Predator ecosystem. It is powered by up to an Intel Core i7 14650HX processor and features the new Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 laptop graphics.
To keep things from getting too hot during long sessions, it uses Acer’s 5th Gen AeroBlade 3D cooling system. The screen is a 16-inch IPS display with a 16:10 aspect ratio, offering up to WQXGA+ resolution and a 180Hz refresh rate. It also covers 100% of the sRGB colour gamut, so it should be pretty reliable for some light creative work on the side.
You also get the standard trimmings like Killer Wi-Fi 6E and AI-driven noise reduction for clearer voice chat.
Predator Orion 5000
For those who want a permanent battle station, the Predator Orion 5000 desktop has also arrived. This 45-litre tower is powered by an Intel Core Ultra 7 265F and an RTX 5070, making it a pretty solid choice for AAA titles or AI-assisted workloads. It comes with 32GB of DDR5 RAM as standard, though you can expand that up to 128GB if you are looking to do some serious multitasking. Cooling is handled by the Predator CycloneX 360 system to ensure everything stays stable during those marathon gaming sessions.
Predator XB273U X2 & Acer Nitro PG241Y P1
On the display front, the Predator XB273U X2 is a 27-inch 1440p monitor that can be overclocked to a 210Hz refresh rate with a speedy 0.5ms response time.
However, the real standout is the Acer Nitro PG241Y P1, which is being billed as Malaysia’s first 23.8-inch portable gaming monitor.
It connects via a single USB-C cable and still manages a 144Hz refresh rate on an IPS panel.
With its built-in kickstand, it seems like a great shout for anyone who wants a proper gaming experience while travelling or just needs a second screen for work and movies.
Pricing and Availability
In terms of pricing, the Helios Neo 16 starts at RM7,299 for the RTX 5050 model and goes up to RM9,999 for the RTX 5070 version. The Orion 5000 desktop is priced at RM14,999.
For the displays, the XB273U X2 retails for RM799, while the portable Nitro monitor is RM649. They are all available immediately through Acer’s official online stores on Shopee and Lazada, as well as authorised retailers nationwide.
