Acer has expanded their portable gaming lineup with the announcement of the Predator Atlas 8. This new handheld is packing some serious power, running on Intel’s new Arc G processors, with options up to the G3 Extreme with Arc B390 GPU.
The Atlas 8 has an 8-inch IPS panel pushing a crisp 1920 x 1200 resolution. It boasts a smooth 120Hz variable refresh rate and can crank up to 500 nits of brightness, which should keep things readable even if you venture outside. To keep you gaming for longer, they have crammed in a massive 80WHr (60WHr on the G3 variant) battery, paired with a 1TB SSD and up to 24GB of LPDDR5x RAM (7,467MT/s).

You are getting Hall Effect analogue triggers (sadly not for joysticks) and the front is protected by tough Gorilla Glass Victus. Connectivity is fully sorted too, featuring a microSD card slot, a proper headphone jack, two Thunderbolt 4 ports, and support for the latest Intel Killer Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. It is also running Windows 11 with Xbox mode on top.
Also, Acer claims their updated AeroBlade fan pushes 10% better airflow than older models. Sound-wise, it sports dual two-watt speakers tuned with DTS:X Ultra audio. A particularly clever touch is the physical trigger switch; you can click it for shallow, instant actuation when you are playing first-person shooters, or flick it back for a deeper analogue pull when you need precise throttle control in racing games or flight sims.

If you are already reaching for your wallet, you might need to hold your horses for just a bit. Acer is keeping quiet on the official pricing for now, and they haven’t shared any specific details regarding a release date for the Malaysian market yet. The Predator Atlas 8 is set for launch in October 2026 across North America, EMEA, and Australia.
