If you have opened your Touch ‘n Go (TNG) eWallet app lately, you might notice things look a bit different. TNG Digital, the company behind the app, is rolling out a major redesign, giving the app a fresh look that is meant to cut through the clutter and get you where you need to go much faster.

According to TNG Digital CEO Alan Ni, this revamp is all about keeping up with how our habits have changed. The app has evolved far beyond a basic payment tool into a massive connected ecosystem. Malaysians are now using it for everything from investing and travelling abroad to settling bills and racking up rewards. The team’s ultimate goal is to turn the app into an everyday digital companion, which explains the constant stream of new features over the last few years.
To make life easier, the new homepage highlights four main hubs based on what people use most. There is GOfinance for managing your money, Near Me for tracking down local food and drink deals, Bills for handling utilities, and Transport for all your commuting needs. They have also streamlined the bottom navigation bar to focus on the features you actually use, specifically tweaking the layout for easier one-handed browsing.

TNG eWallet currently boasts over 26 million verified users, with 13.5 million active users logging in an average of twice a day.
But this visual refresh is just the starting point. Chief Product and Growth Officer Chiew Wei Wing teased that more updates are coming later this year to make the app highly personalised. The grand vision is an app that understands your spending habits and daily needs, proactively offering contextual advice and services. As Chiew puts it, people do not want more apps or extra features clogging up their phones; they just want a simpler life, and that is exactly what this new effort is trying to deliver.
