Lenovo Drops The Tab Plus Gen 2 In Malaysia For A Starting Price Of RM2,099

This Android tablet comes with JBL-tuned nine-speaker Pro system with Dolby Atmos support.

Lenovo has just dropped a brand new Android tablet in Malaysia, and it is catered for media consumption.

The newly unveiled Lenovo Tab Plus Gen 2 is packing a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 processor under the hood, paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. You can pop in a MicroSD card to expand that space by up to 2TB.

Flip it around and you are greeted by a large 12.1-inch 2.5K IGZO IPS display. Lenovo has gone all out here, giving it a butter-smooth 120Hz refresh rate, up to 800 nits of brightness for outdoor viewing, and support for both HDR10 and Dolby Vision to make your streaming look top-tier. Plus, they have thrown on an anti-fingerprint coating so you won’t have to constantly wipe down smudges while navigating the UI.

Around the back, there is a 13-megapixel autofocus camera, while an 8-megapixel snapper handles your video calls and selfies from the front.

Where this tablet really tries to flex is the audio department. It features a massive, JBL-tuned nine-speaker Pro setup with Dolby Atmos that basically turns the device into a boombox. In fact, it actually has a clever Bluetooth speaker mode, meaning you can connect your phone and use the tablet purely as a wireless speaker.

To make media consumption even easier, Lenovo built in a 360-degree rotating folding stand so you can prop it up at just about any angle without needing a clunky case.

Keeping the lights on is a hefty 10,200mAh battery that Lenovo claims will survive up to 15 hours of non-stop YouTube streaming. When it does eventually run dry, it supports 45W fast charging to get you back up and running quickly. If you want to use it for productivity, it plays nice with the Lenovo Tab Pen Plus and their wireless keyboard, though you will have to buy those separately.

Software-wise, it launches with Android 16 right out of the box. Lenovo is promising two major OS upgrades, taking it all the way to Android 18, alongside four years of security patches to keep you safe until 2030.

Pricing and Availability

If this sounds like your kind of entertainment slab, it will be hitting Lenovo Exclusive Stores in September 2026, starting at RM2,099.
