Nothing Ear (open) Revealed, Available For RM659 In Malaysia

It will be available on Crossover’s official online store starting on 28 September.

Nothing announced its first open-ear wireless earbuds, the Nothing Ear (open). Designed with an on-ear style and wrap-around ear hooks, they showcase the brand’s signature semi-transparent look.

The Ear (open) feature 14.2mm titanium-coated drivers and connect via Bluetooth 5.3 with support for dual device pairing. They include dual microphones with Clear Voice 3.0 technology and pinch controls for media, volume, and call management.

These earbuds prioritise situational awareness and all-day comfort, so they don’t include active noise cancellation.

Weighing 8.1 grams each, both the buds and the case are rated IP54 for dust and splash resistance.

The buds rest outside the ear and use a three-point balance system with silicone ear hooks. Nothing introduced a Sound Seal System with directional speakers to minimise sound leakage and ensure privacy.

The Ear (open) is compatible with the Nothing X app, so users can adjust and share EQ profiles, customise controls, and update firmware.

The buds also support the Find My network, a low-latency gaming mode, and ChatGPT integration, though the latter requires a Nothing phone.

Nothing claims Ear (open) offer 8 hours of playback on their 64mAh batteries, with the 635mAh case extending total playtime to 30 hours. Charging is via USB-C, with no wireless option available.

The Nothing Ear (open) is available for RM659 and will be widely released on 14 October. However, there are ways to get them earlier.

The first option is through Crossover’s official online store on 28 September. Alternatively, they can be bought from the brand’s official Shopee (1 October) and Lazada stores (5 October).
