We’ve seen smartphones pushing ultra-thin bezels for years now, but getting an actual, zero-bezel display has always felt just out of reach. As it stands, the current record holder is the Meizu 22, sporting a seriously impressive 1.2mm bezels on all sides.
Tecno is aiming to change the game entirely with its new Next-Gen Borderless Concept Phone, a concept device boasting a display with absolutely no bezels whatsoever.
The brand has confirmed that this 0mm display concept will make its official debut at IFA 2026 in Berlin this coming September.
To pull off a screen with no borders at all, Tecno says it had to rely on advanced internal stacking, fresh screen packaging techniques, and a complete structural re-engineering of the device.
While it is just a prototype for now, Tecno hinted that this technology could make its way to future commercial smartphones, which would certainly give its upcoming lineup a proper edge in design.
