Apple launched its very first Malaysian Apple Store back in June 2024 at The Exchange TRX in Kuala Lumpur, but it looks like the tech giant is already plotting its next move and this time, it is heading outside KL.
Job listings on the official Apple Malaysia website show the company is actively recruiting for 22 roles based in Putrajaya. That is a pretty massive clue that a second official retail spot is on the horizon.
So, where in Putrajaya could it actually land? Given that the TRX store was set up inside a shopping centre, it feels like a safe bet that the new one will follow suit. The most obvious candidate is IOI City Mall, which happens to be the largest shopping mall in the country.
While a grand opening probably isn’t happening in the immediate future, it is definitely an exciting hint of what is in store for Apple fans who live nearby.
