Samsung Is Reportedly Planning To Release Wireless Over-Ear Headphones

It's referred to as "Galaxy H1" in the Galaxy Wearable app.

Samsung looks set to make a comeback in the premium over-ear headphone market after a long time.

It has been over a decade since the tech giant launched the Level Over back in 2014, with the brand choosing to focus almost entirely on its popular line of wireless earbuds ever since.

According to SamMobile, code strings buried inside the latest version of Samsung’s Galaxy Wearable app point towards a brand-new pair of over-ear cans, explicitly confirming they will come equipped with Bluetooth connectivity.

Behind closed doors, the South Korean tech giant is referring to the project as the Galaxy H1, though that is almost certainly just a placeholder name for now. We will likely have to wait until closer to the official reveal to find out what marketing name actually gets slapped on the box.

Given how early in development the project seems to be, a release is still a long way off. We might see a debut in early 2027, but launch windows this far out are always prone to shift.
