Besides the Watch GT 5 Series, Huawei also announced the release of its flagship tablet, the MatePad Pro 12.2-inch, in Malaysia.
The MatePad Pro 12.2 boasts tandem OLED display with a 2800×1840 resolution, 1 billion colours, a 144Hz refresh rate, a 3:2 aspect ratio, and a peak brightness of 2,000 nits.
Moreover, the display features a PaperMatte coating which offers an almost glare-free viewing experience, even in brightly lit environments, and imparts a paper-like texture when drawing.
Although Huawei didn’t revealed the chipset, it’s believed to be the Kirin 9000S, coupled with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage.
In terms of photography, the tablet features three cameras: two at the rear, including a 13MP primary sensor and an 8MP ultrawide lens, and a 16MP front-facing camera.
It’s powered by a substantial 10,100mAh battery supporting 100W charging. Additionally, it includes a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and comes with HarmonyOS 4.2.

The MatePad Pro 12.2-inch is priced at RM4,599 and it’s available for pre-orders now until 11 October through the Huawei’s online store, Shopee and Lazada stores. Customers who pre-order the tablet will receive a free keyboard, M Pencil, and Bluetooth mouse.
