Samsung’s next batch of flagship phones is set to drop in early 2027, likely around January or February. The South Korean tech giant will probably show off four devices in the Galaxy S27 lineup, and it looks like we might have already caught a glimpse of what the top-tier Galaxy S27 Ultra is going to look like.
Reliable leaker Ice Universe posted an image showcasing the basic layout of the Galaxy S27 Ultra. Flip the phone over and you will spot a chunky rectangular camera bar running along the top that houses three sensors. It definitely feels like Samsung is taking a few design cues from the iPhone 17 Pro here.
Two of those cameras get their own individual rings, while the third camera sits inside a pill-shaped module next to the laser autofocus and LED flash.
The leaked image also points to a circular magnetic ring on the back for Qi2 wireless charging and snap-on gear. That means Samsung might finally build magnets straight into the phone itself, saving everyone from having to buy specific magnetic cases just to use snap-on accessories.
Another leaker, Sonny Dickson, also posted the same design, suggesting that this could be the final design of the S27 Ultra. Interestingly, he added that the S27 Ultra will be available in two sizes.
As for the camera setup, rumour has it the Galaxy S27 Ultra is stripping things back to a triple-camera setup. You are looking at a bumped-up 200MP main sensor with optical image stabilisation, a 50MP ultrawide with autofocus, and a 50MP telephoto lens packing 5x optical zoom and OIS. If this panning out holds true, the old 10MP 3x zoom camera from previous Ultra models is officially history.
