Samsung flagship Galaxy phones have felt a bit lightweight in the battery department lately, especially when you compare them to the massive batteries crammed into rival Chinese phones.
However, it looks as though the South Korean tech giant is finally doing something about it for two of its upcoming Galaxy S27 models.
Certification listings from China Compulsory Certificate, spotted by GSMArena, show that both the Galaxy S27 Pro and S27 Ultra have officially passed through regulatory checks. The filings confirm that both devices will stick with 60W wired charging, which matches the S26 Ultra.
The juicy detail lies in the actual power pack sizes. The S27 Ultra shows a rated capacity of 5,534mAh, which should translate to an advertised typical capacity of around 5,700mAh. That gives us a 700mAh boost over what its predecessor packed.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy S27 Pro pops up with a rated capacity of 5,087mAh, likely translating to a marketed 5,200mAh typical capacity. What makes this particularly interesting is that despite having a smaller overall frame, the S27 Pro will actually carry a larger battery than last year’s S26 Ultra.
