Epson has just rolled out its latest home entertainment setup, the Lifestudio Grand Plus EH-LS970B. It bundles massive 4K projection, clever AI image tuning, and built-in Sound by Bose into a single box, aiming to deliver a proper cinema feel without taking over your living room.
Thanks to an ultra-short-throw design with a 0.16 ratio, you can place it just inches from the wall to get a screen size anywhere from 80 to 150 inches. That means no messing around with ceiling mounts or having a traditional projector sitting in the middle of your room.
Under the hood, it uses a 3LCD laser engine pushing out 4,000 lumens of both colour and white brightness, backed by a contrast ratio over 5,000,000:1. The real brains of the operation is a new AI-powered TV chip that analyses what you are watching on the fly. It sharpens up details, balances picture quality, and tweak colours, contrast, and gradients scene by scene so everything looks as punchy as possible.
Audio is handled by a built-in 20W 2.1 channel Sound by Bose system, giving you full room-filling sound with decent bass so you do not need to wire up a separate soundbar. When you just want to listen to music, you can flick it into Bluetooth mode and use it purely as a wireless speaker. Google TV comes built right in, so streaming, casting, and voice control work straight out of the box.
