Nothing is back with a new product, following up on their flagship wireless headphones with the new Headphone (1) Pro.
At first glance, it keeps the familiar design language of the original Headphone (1), but spices things up with a scratch-resistant glass outer enclosure. Underneath, Nothing has opted for premium materials like lightweight titanium alongside a sturdy aluminium frame.
On the inside, the Pro model packs a triple driver setup consisting of a 40mm dynamic driver dedicated to punchy bass, a second precision dynamic driver, and a specialized xMEMS driver with a silicone diaphragm handling the high frequencies.
For immersive listening, you get Hi-Res Audio certification and Dynamic Spatial Audio with head tracking. There are plenty of custom spatial modes to play with, including Standard, Live House, Club, Concert Hall, and even a bespoke preset tuned after Studio B at Metropolis Studios.
For wireless audio, it supports a broad range of codecs including AAC, SBC, LDAC, and LC3. Connectivity runs on Bluetooth 6.1, offering dual-device pairing, low-latency mode, and auto-wear detection. For pairing, the Pro supports Google Fast Pair, Microsoft Swift Pair, and instant setup for Apple devices.
Noise cancellation has received a major boost as well. Nothing has crammed 10 microphones into the earcups to deliver active noise cancellation capable of blocking out up to 46 dB of ambient sound. Comfort gets a welcome upgrade too, thanks to thicker padding, a headband that is 10% wider than the previous generation, softer cushions, and more flexible cups.
On the hardware and feature front, the Headphone (1) Pro comes with an IP52 rating against dust and water splashes. It also retains tactile physical control, featuring a dedicated Switch button to toggle a Flat EQ instantly.
For battery life, there is a 1,060mAh cell squeezed inside and Nothing promises up to 30 hours of playback with ANC switched on, which stretches to an incredible 68 hours if you turn noise cancellation off. Fast charging over USB-C is also on board when you need a quick top-up.
Pricing and Availability
The Nothing Headphone (1) Pro went on sale in select regions on 29 September, priced at USD399 (~RM1,626).
For buyers in Malaysia, the headphones will be arriving a bit later, with local pricing and launch details set to be shared closer to release.
