Razer revealed the Freyja haptic gaming cushion at RazerCon 2024, aiming to elevate the gaming experience with synchronised haptic feedback during gameplay.
The Freyja is equipped with six small motors within individual pads, vibrating in sync with in-game events to provide a tactile experience that engages users both physically and visually.
The cushion’s adjustability is a standout feature, with straps allowing for easy customisation of its placement. A control panel on the left side offers management of power, vibration intensity, and connectivity options, including Razer’s HyperSpeed Wireless connection, and Bluetooth.
This enables connection to phones or handheld gaming devices, extending its use beyond PC gaming. Additionally, a single power connection with a safety breakpoint is included to prevent accidents if the cord is pulled.
Razer’s Synapse software allows for the customisation of the Freyja’s settings via a Sensa HD section, where users can tailor the frequency, intensity, and direction of vibrations.
The cushion can respond specifically to in-game events like explosions or provide a broader atmospheric enhancement to the gaming experience.
The Razer Freyja is priced at USD300 (~RM1,237) and is available in certain markets, although it’s not yet offered in Malaysia.
