Galaxy Buds On Unveiled: Samsung’s First Clip-On Wireless Earbuds

It's coming later this month to South Korea first, and global availability will follow later.

Samsung has just unveiled its very first pair of clip-on wireless earbuds, dubbed the Galaxy Buds On.

Designed with a lightweight open-ear fit, they are built to keep you comfortable during long listening sessions while ensuring you stay fully aware of your surroundings when out for a run or a stroll.

Samsung says it crunched data from a huge variety of ear shapes to fine-tune the speaker and battery placement, spreading out the pressure points for a much better fit.

Open-ear designs usually struggle with sound quality, but Samsung has packed in plenty of tech to fix that. A set of twin-boost speakers ramps up the bass, and adaptive volume automatically tweaks your audio depending on how noisy your environment is.

These are also the first Galaxy Buds to include clever sound-leakage reduction tech, meaning your music stays private rather than blasting to everyone nearby. Under the hood, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon S7 Gen 1 sound platform works alongside a high-efficiency Class-D amplifier to give you up to nine and a half hours of battery life on a single charge.

Thanks to a combination of three microphones, a bone-conduction sensor, and machine learning that isolates your voice even in windy or loud spots, so the call quality should be good.

If you link them up with a Galaxy AI-enabled phone or tablet, saying “Hey Google, let’s talk live” launches Gemini Live straight away. On top of that, holding down the back of the earbud triggers a Quick Voice Memo, and you can even nod or shake your head to pick up calls, end chats, or snooze alarms without lifting a finger.

The Galaxy Buds On is set to launch in South Korea on 27 October 2026 for WON299,000 (~RM899), with a global release planned shortly after.
