Huawei Watch 6 Series And FreeBuds SE 5 Max Launch In Malaysia

The watches start from RM1,799, while the earbuds can be bought for just RM159.

Huawei Malaysia has just rolled out its latest wearables, bringing the Watch 6 Series and the budget wireless earbuds FreeBuds SE 5 Max to local shelves.

Huawei Watch 6 and 6 Pro

The new Watch 6 Series features super tough spherical sapphire glass across all models, which keeps the display crystal clear and scratch-resistant. If you go for the top-tier Watch 6 Pro, you get a premium build made from titanium alloy and nano-tech ceramic, along with a screen that cranks all the way up to 3,500 nits. The standard Watch 6 takes a lighter approach and pairs with a comfortable EasyCross strap for easy everyday wear.

Huawei claims the battery life lasts up to seven days on the 42mm models and up to 11 days on the 46mm models.

Interestingly, it is the first smartwatch series in Malaysia to support both Hypertension and Diabetes Risk Studies, with Huawei partnering with Sunway University to test its hypertension screening tools in real-world scenarios.

Under the hood, Huawei updated the health tracking with an upgraded X-TAP sensor system. By using the Health Glance feature, a simple 60-second tap checks 13 different health metrics, giving you a fast snapshot of everything from your heart rate to respiratory health.

The watches support gesture controls like Quick Flip, Pinch, and Slide, alongside the built-in Celia voice assistant. Fitness fans get access to over 100 sports modes including trail running, golf, and freediving down to 40 metres. The Pro model goes a step further for outdoor enthusiasts by adding an Expedition App packed with offline maps, route planning, and waypoint tracking.

Huawei FreeBuds SE 5 Max

Joining the smartwatches are the FreeBuds SE 5 Max, a budget-friendly pair of wireless earbuds packed with high-end features. They come with up to 52dB Adaptive ANC, Bluetooth 6.0 with dual-device connection, and a six-mic setup for clean voice calls.
