Spotify’s Automatic Offline Playlists Keep The Music Playing Without Internet

The Offline Backup feature has started rolling out globally for Spotify Premium users on both Android and iOS platforms.

Spotify just launched Offline Backup, a new feature that lets users listen to music without an internet connection, and without the need to download all the songs first.

With Offline Backup, the app automatically creates a playlist available on your device, allowing you to listen to it even when you’re offline. This playlist includes your recently streamed and queued tracks, as well as tracks already cached on your device.

You can filter and sort songs in the playlist by artist, mood, and genre. As you continue to listen, Offline Backup updates and evolves, ensuring there’s always something new to enjoy. Offline Backup doesn’t use any extra data or storage since it relies on cached tracks.

This feature is now rolling out to Spotify Premium users worldwide on both Android and iOS. It appears automatically in the Home feed anytime you’re offline, as long as you’ve enabled offline listening and have recently played at least five songs. You can also add Offline Backup to your Library for easy access anytime.
