Nintendo Just Released A New Product That Nobody Expected

Everyone wants the Switch 2, but the company decided to release a digital alarm clock instead.

While fans eagerly await news from Nintendo about the next-generation Switch hardware, the renowned Japanese video game company has instead decided to released a digital alarm clock named “Nintendo Sound Clock: Alarmo“.

Alarmo employs motion detection technology, enabling users to snooze their alarms with a simple arm wave, or to stop the alarm by getting out of bed.

Regarding the available sounds, Alarmo offers a choice of 35 ‘scenes’ from five popular Nintendo Switch games: Super Mario Odyssey, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Splatoon 3, Pikmin 4, and Ring Fit Adventure.

Additionally, linking your Nintendo Account allows the download of extra scenes from Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

At present, Alarmo is exclusively up for order in North America and Canada, purchasable through Nintendo’s official website for USD99.99 (~RM429), with its retail launch slated for early 2025.

As of this writing, it remains uncertain whether Nintendo will launch Alarmo in Malaysia; however, it’s possible to acquire one through resellers, albeit at an increased price.
