Word on the street is that Apple might be shaking up its smartwatch game in a big way, with fresh designs, new sizes, and maybe even a fitness tracker with no screen.
According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple’s industrial design team has spent the last year re-evaluating the entire lineup.
They are allegedly testing out different display tech, tweaking the form factors, and experimenting with new sizes. There was even talk of a circular Apple Watch making the rounds in their labs, though Gurman reckons that particular idea probably will not see the light of day. Apple is also reportedly considering a screenless fitness tracker, something like Google Fitbit Air.

It looks like the tech giant is keen to stretch the range further at both ends of the price spectrum. We could see new top-tier luxury options sitting alongside even cheaper entry-level devices that go beyond the current SE models.
On top of all that, a ceramic case might be making a comeback either later this year or in 2027.
