Apple Releases iOS 18.5 – Here’s Everything You Need To Know

This update is rather small.

Apple just dropped iOS 18.5, the fifth update since iOS 18 launched last September.

This one’s pretty light on new stuff. Parents get a notification when someone uses the Screen Time passcode on their kid’s device, and iPhone 13 models now support carrier-based satellite features.

There’s also a new Pride Harmony wallpaper and a fix for the black screen bug in the Apple Vision Pro app.

And if you’re buying stuff in the Apple TV app on a non-Apple device, you can now use “Buy with iPhone.”

This update also patches more than 30 security vulnerabilities affecting things like Bluetooth, FaceTime, and more.

Meanwhile, Apple’s already gearing up for iOS 19, which we’ll probably hear about at Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in June. The next iOS version is shaping up to be some of the biggest updates in Apple’s history.
