[UPDATE] The “leaked invite” is fake and created by an X user, @lorevfx, because he was bored.
People who have been following gadget news will know by now that the launch of the iPhone 16 is getting closer because Apple tends to announce new iPhones around September or October annually.
If you have been waiting to upgrade your iPhone to the latest one, I have a good news for you. It seems that the iPhone 16 launch is less than a month away.
A post by Majin Bu on X (formerly known as Twitter) claims that a source disclosed the launch of the iPhone 16 to be on 10 September 2024, at 10am Pacific Time, which corresponds to 1am Malaysian Time on 11 September.
The title of the event, “Ready, Set, Capture” also strongly hints at something to do with photography.
Perhaps this is related to the recent rumour that the iPhone 16 will have a new button for camera control that functions similarly to a DSLR camera button.
The colour of the Apple logo in the invite also hints at a new colour option for the iPhone 16, which could look like this.
In addition to the existing white, black, and grey, the new colour exhibits a hue similar to bronze or gold. However, it’s important to note that the actual appearance may differ in the final product.
Whether September’s event is real remains uncertain; the only way to know for sure is to wait and see. I will certainly be on the lookout for it.
