Apple has unveiled its latest smartwatch collection, featuring the Apple Watch Series 11, the Apple Watch SE 3, and the Apple Watch Ultra 3. In a significant first for the product line, all three new models now include 5G cellular connectivity as a standard option.
Watch Series 11

The new flagship, the Apple Watch Series 11, is notable for being the thinnest model Apple has produced whilst also boasting improved durability. It is protected by a new Ion-X glass with a ceramic coating that Apple claims is twice as tough as the material used on the Series 10. It will be available in the familiar 42mm and 46mm case sizes, with a choice of aluminium or titanium casings.
For health tracking, Apple is introducing two major new features. The first is hypertension awareness, which will alert the user if it detects anomalies in blood pressure; this feature will be available across 150 countries.

The second is a sleep score, which provides a performance-based rating out of 100 for your nightly rest. This metric analyses total sleep duration, bedtime consistency, nighttime awakenings, and the time spent in each sleep stage. These join continuous heart-rate and blood oxygen saturation monitoring, which is now possible thanks to an improved battery life rated for up to 24 hours on a single charge.
Watch SE 3

The more affordable Apple Watch SE 3 receives several key upgrades, including an always-on display and last year’s S10 chip, which enables new double-tap and wrist-flick gestures. It also gains optional 5G connectivity and fast charging that is twice as fast as before; a 15-minute charge is said to provide up to eight hours of use. The SE 3 also benefits from the new sleep score feature alongside 24/7 heart rate and blood oxygen readings. It will be available in 40mm and 44mm sizes.
Watch Ultra 3

At the top of the range, the Apple Watch Ultra 3 is updated with a new LTPO 3.0 OLED display that is brighter and features thinner bezels than its predecessor. It too gains the optional 5G cellular connectivity and sees an update to its satellite connectivity for enhanced Emergency SOS via Satellite, messaging, and location sharing with Find My. It includes the new health tracking features and sees a substantial boost to battery endurance, which is now rated at 42 hours—the longest ever for an Apple Watch.
