Apple’s Latest iOS 26.3 Update Fixes Major Security Exploit

It also comes with a built-in tool to help iPhone users switch to Android.

Apple has just dropped the latest iOS 26.3 update, and it’s a huge update, coming at 11.6GB (at least for my iPhone 16e). The big headline here is the security side of things; they have patched 39 vulnerabilities, including one that hackers were already taking advantage of. Honestly, that bit of news is probably enough of a reason to hit the update button as soon as you can.

What is really interesting this time around is that Apple has added a built-in tool to help people jump ship to Android. It is designed to make moving to a different ecosystem about as painless as it gets, and the best part is that you do not need to mess about with any third-party apps to get your data across.

The transfer tool is pretty thorough too, covering your photos, messages, notes, apps, passwords, and even your phone number. On top of that, there is a new setting to help curb carrier location tracking if your device has a C1 or C1X modem. Just keep in mind that this specific feature is currently limited to a handful of carriers globally, so it might not be live for everyone just yet.
