In November 2024, Asus introduced the ROG Phone 9 Series, and now they are expanding the lineup with the ROG Phone 9 FE. This more affordable gaming phone was recently launched in Thailand and bears a striking resemblance to the ROG Phone 9.
The ROG Phone 9 FE is equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, complemented by 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of UFS 4.0 storage.

It features a 6.78-inch 1080×2400 LTPO AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 2,500 nits and a refresh rate of up to 185Hz. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2.
The phone boasts a triple-camera setup on the back, including a 50 MP main camera with Sony’s IMX890 1/1.56″ sensor and gimbal OIS, a 13 MP ultrawide lens with a 120° field-of-view, and a 5 MP macro camera. For selfies, there’s a 32 MP front-facing camera.

Additional features include dual stereo speakers, an in-display fingerprint sensor, IP68 dust and water resistance, and a 5,500mAh battery supporting 65W wired charging. The phone also supports wireless charging and retains a 3.5 mm headphone jack.
The ROG Phone 9 FE is priced at THB29,990 (~RM3,946). While Asus has not yet officially announced its availability in Malaysia, the phone has already appeared in the SIRIM database, indicating that a local launch is likely just around the corner.
