Qualcomm Unveils Next-Gen Snapdragon G Series Chipsets For Handheld Gaming Consoles

It comprises three chips: G3 Gen 3, the top-of-the-line; G2 Gen 2, a mid-range option; and G1 Gen 2 for budget handheld consoles.

The first handheld, launching this year, will be a collaboration with an OEM, while the second, scheduled for 2027, will be an in-house model.

This laptop is equipped with AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS and Nvidia GeForce RTX 4050.

The Helios Neo 16 AI and Helios Neo 18 AI come packing Intel Core Ultra 200HX Series processors and GeForce RTX 50 Series GPUs.

This game will support ray tracing; even GPUs with no ray tracing hardware will get software-based ray tracing.

This game will support ray tracing and path tracing only, unlike the previous title, Doom Eternal, which supports a traditional lighting model.

There's also a smaller 8-inch version for those who prefer portability.

Previously, Steam Deck is the only handheld gaming PC running SteamOS.
