At The Game Awards (TGA) 2025, one title well and truly swept the board. ‘Clair Obscur: Expedition 33’, from the France-based studio Sandfall Interactive, didn’t just win Game of the Year – it went on a proper victory march, collecting a record-breaking nine awards in total.
That haul makes it the most awarded game in the history of TGAs. Alongside the top prize, the game secured wins for Best Game Direction, Best Narrative, Best Art Direction, Best Score & Music, Best RPG, and Best Independent Game. It also picked up Debut Indie Game, and Jennifer English took home Best Performance for her role in the title.
