Bethesda Softworks has officially announced the release date for the highly anticipated Doom: The Dark Ages, a prequel to the critically acclaimed Doom (2016).

The intense, action-packed first-person shooter is set to launch on May 15, 2025, and will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S/X, and PC.

Gamers are advised to equip a system with at least an 8-core CPU, a GPU featuring ray-tracing capabilities, and a minimum of 8GB of video memory.

Given the stellar optimisation of previous titles like Doom (2016) and Doom Eternal, it will be intriguing to see how the minimum specifications perform with the new game.
