Square Enix, the developer and publisher behind the long-running beloved video game franchise, Final Fantasy, announced that their latest title is finally coming to PC.
Final Fantasy XVI (16) was first released on the PlayStation 5 console in June 2023, and after more than a year, PC gamers will finally have the chance to experience this epic story as well on 18 September 2024.
Final Fantasy 16 is set in the twin continents of Valisthea, currently divided between six nations who hold power through access to magical Crystals and Dominants, humans who act as hosts for each nation’s Eikon.
Tensions between the nations escalate as a magical drought dubbed the Blight begins consuming the land. Clive Rosfield, guardian to his younger brother Joshua, witnesses his kingdom destroyed and becomes involved in the growing conflict between Valisthea’s nations and a secret power driving the war.
The game is available for pre-purchase on Steam and Epic Games Store for RM209 for the base game or RM299 for the complete edition that comes with the two DLC “Echoes of the Fallen” and “The Rising Tide”.
If you pre-purchase the game, you will receive the following items in game:
- Brave Blade Weapon

The demo of the game is also available right now on Steam, so you can test whether your PC can handle this visually impressive game.
