Even though Google launched the Pixel 9 series in August 2024, the lineup isn’t complete. The more affordable Pixel 9a is set to join the series soon.
Thanks to Android Headlines, the specifications of the budget Pixel phone are now available for all to see. The Pixel 9a is set to feature a 6.3-inch Actua display with a 120Hz refresh rate, matching the size of the Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro, but without the LTPO display tech.
It will be equipped with the Tensor G4 chipset, 8GB of RAM, and options for 128GB or 256GB of storage.
The phone will boast a 5,000mAh battery, approximately 11% larger than its predecessor, the Pixel 8a, and will support 18W wired and 7.5W wireless charging.
In terms of cameras, the Pixel 9a will include a 48MP primary camera and a 13MP ultrawide camera, with a 13MP camera on the front as well.
The Pixel 9a’s dimensions are 154.7 x 73.3 x 8.9mm, and it weighs 186g.
According to the report, the Pixel 9a is expected to launch in mid-March 2025 with a price tag of USD499 (~RM 2,185).
The Pixel 9a may become available in Malaysia, given that the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, and Pixel 9 Pro XL are already on the market here.
