Foldable phones are becoming quite common nowadays, with several companies such as Samsung, OnePlus, Xiaomi, Honor, Huawei, and many others releasing their own models.
All the foldable phones operate the same way; you can only fold them like a book. But Huawei is about to revolutionise the foldable phone market by making it triple-foldable like a pamphlet.
Recently, Huawei’s CEO, Richard Yu, was spotted using a tri-fold phone on an airplane.
As far as I know, there’s no tri-fold phone on the market at the time of writing, so Mr. Yu could be using a prototype device from his own company.
Furthermore, the CEO was spotted using the tri-fold phone again in public, but this time the phone is in a folded state.
The CEO appears to be personally testing the phone prior to granting approval to sell this device on the market.
A Weibo leaker known as “Digital Chat Station” estimates that Huawei will release the tri-fold phone in late 2024. Whether this is true or not, we just have to wait and see.
